Halloween Memories
I remember Halloween being cold when I was a kid. The weather was generally what it was supposed to be. October was when the leaves fell and by the end of the month – Brrrrrrr! Halloween and warm jackets went together.
These days, the leaves are still out there getting ready to change in a few weeks when November hits and even then it’s slow these days to get cold here in New York City. Ah yes, global warning, all too familiar.
So the best part of Halloween wasn’t the trick or treating. Now don’t get me wrong, collecting those coins and TONS of chocolate was a blast; But the best was when we divvied up the intake and began consuming the 3-month supply of inorganic junk food that tasted SO good!
So Halloween remains to this day a dentists’ busy season about a year later when the cavities set in.
But really all of that chocolate was just SO good. It was worth a few fillings and caps.
